Companies are still pumping out tablets, but where is Dell?

Rumors last year indicated that Dell was working on one, but nothing ever surfaced. (one of the few times I’ve seen Engadget "miss") – Link

Dell is among the leaders in Laptop sales with HP, Toshiba, etc…
HP, Toshiba, and Fujitsu have all offered a Tablet to their customers… So where is Dell?
Dell seems to sit back and make sure the consumers want a product, then they lower the pricepoint and SELL, SELL, SELL. Hey Dell, America wants a convertable Inspiron Tablet!

Lenovo, the company that bought IBM’s PC division, announced a nice tablet today, the Thinkpad X41. (see Dell, they are even using your X designations)
The convertible-style X41 Tablet weights 3.5 pounds, is 1.14 inches thick, and has a 12.1-inch display, a Pentium M processor, up to 1.5GB of DDR2 RAM, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and an optional integrated biometric fingerprint scanner. Goes on sale June 14th with a starting price of $1,899.
