Kenwood is crashing the MP3 market.
I still haven’t seen one of their USB Flash MP3 players (M512A3 and M256A3) MP3 players yet and they are already working on a 20GB HD based player with a nice color screen. While Kenwood is a great fit for producing an audio device (since they do it well), there are just too many options now. Ford and Toyota are next, we’ll see their MP3 players soon. (joke)

According to Engadget, these should hit the streets in Japan late this month.

On the MP3 player subject….
Can this be the "iPod Killer"? That question is asked every single time a major company releases a contender. Unfortunately, the overpriced iPod, has out lived fads like the multicolor Swatch Watch, Jelly Bracelets, Panama Jack shirts, and even bell bottoms. The simple fact that people will pay the extra hundred or so bills to be cool. iPods are cool, plain and simple. I don’t like them and I really don’t like Apple’s move into the flash player market either, but I am not cool.

This Kenwood player looks great, but I think I will stick with my Dell DJ Mini.
