Skype adds video to its VoIP service
This post was published 4 years 5 months 6 days ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding."Skype now does video conferencing via the use of a third-party plug-in from Dialcom. Dialcom?s Spontania Video4skype will allow Skype users (Windows only for now ? surprise, surprise) with a connected webcam to make video calls via the Skype client. The Spontania plug-in was actually built to be integrated into any third party VoIP application, so expect this to be adopted by other VoIP services in the not-too-distant future." – Engadget
There is little info regarding pricing, but I am sure this won’t be free, but could prove to be a nice service. Being a telecomm technician by day, I can tell you that this (not Skype in general, but VOIP) is the future, be ready!
