OK, Cnet’s Best of CES 2006 judging is over and the winner of the Cell Phones and PDA category is…. Drum Roll Please! …. the Samsung ZX20! Yeah… wait, what the hell?
The finalists for this category were the Motorola ROKR E2, the Palm Treo 700W, and the Samsung ZX20. Does the win come only because its the 1st UMTS phone? Someone throw me a bone here, I don’t get it? I am a Windows Mobile guy, but even the ROKR E2 is a far more interesting phone.
Well since Cnet thinks its so special, here are the specs:
It features Bluetooth 2.0, Dual band HSDPA/UMTS 850/1900, Quad-band GSM with EDGE, a Micro SD card slot, and a 262K color screen. With HSDPA, you can download stuff to your phone at a crazy speed of 3.6MB per second.
I guess it’s all about the data rates these days?
