Google aiming for a patent on mobile single-click calling

Apparently Google is trying to get approved for a patent on their application of single-click calling on mobile phones.  Mobile phone web users would be able to simply click on an advertisement to call that business.

Personally, I’d have to be careful as I sometimes get a little trigger-happy with the clicker on my SMT5600.  I don’t know the exact specifics of the patent, but this almost seems to be a little ridiculous to me.  This is such a generalized concept that is very similar to existing services, that I don’t see what makes Google’s implementation that much different from any of the others.

I really like Google’s products/services but, like many large corporations, they sometimes seem to be wanting their hands in too many pockets.
