The world of people that love gadgets, there is always a ton of speculation made when developments start to snowball.

This one is no different. Last week the buzz was about how Apple filed for a "Mobile Me" trademark. Now, MobileMag reports that a reader of theirs noticed that Apple was hiring RF Engineers.

"According to the reader, Apple hasn’t been interested in mechanical engineers like him, but they have been snapping up RF engineers “like there is no tomorrow”. Here’s where it gets good – they are specifically looking for people with EDGE experience."

This leads to the rumors that Apple may add cell or high speed data capabilities to its iPod.

I think it would be pretty special to be able to download songs at EDGE speeds on the go!
