A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

Motorola ROKR E2 and MINIBLUE Bluetooth Headset

Posted by Chris Leckness on January 7, 2006 – 7:23 pm
closeThis post was published 3 years 10 months ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.

H5MINIBLUElivephoto.jpg I had an opportunity to check out a couple of the announced Motorola products with an old friend of mine, Jason Gordon.

To the right you can see how small the new H5 MINIBLUE Bluetooth headset looks like.

We also looked at the Motorola ROKR E2 and the Exciting new Motorola Q. (which seemed to have as much buzz around CES as the Palm Treo 700W)

I will talk more about the Q in another post later, but the ROKR E2, even though its not a Windows Mobile phone, seems like it will be a very popular phone.
"ROKR E2 also features a robust MP3 player compatible with a variety of different audio formats – making this mobile handset a powerful example of what it means to be “the device formerly known as the cell phone.”

Because this was his personal headset, I didn't want to swap ear funk with him, for his sake...hehe

The volume from his account is great and the users voice is generated through jawbone vibrations and so we dont have the background noise problem.

So did you get to try out the Miniblue? If so, how was the volume/clarity? I know in the other post you mentioned it was good b/c it's in-ear, but I didn't know whether you'd actually tried it yourself or not.

I purchased a Scala BT headset a couple months back to use with my SMT5600. The clarity is great on it, but b/c it is not in-ear the volume is an issue when I'm on the road... and that's about the only time I use a headset anyhow. Of course, it doesn't help that my 15-year-old Jeep Cherokee has such poor seals that it sounds like the windows are down at Interstate speeds even when they're up. :)
