My Thoughts: Palm Treo 700w and the Motorola Q

So, the hottest handheld news of the show was the Palm Treo 700w. I got a chance to sit down with John Starkweather from Microsoft and play with the Palm Treo 700w and the Motorola Q.
From an earlier entry here, I talk about this experiece:
"Oh my these are super nice. The 700w, although I don’t have my own yet, was very nice. The form factor and feel are to die for. Palm has added some real nice features to Windows Mobile that make some things much easier. The Motorola Q had no real software difference from Windows Mobile Converged devices I have played with in the past, but the form factor is Razr thin! More about these and some pics later. ( having some technical difficulties that are going to prevent my semi-live coverage I expected to give )"
I had more play time with the Q over the past few days, but in the end, I really don’t think either one will replace my Kjam. If I had to choose one, it would be the Treo though. I don’t care for the lack of a touch screen on the Q. The Treo’s form factor is nicer to me as well. I predict the Q to be the "status" phone of 2006!
Read on for a couple more images and my pros and cons…
Pros and Cons:
Palm Treo 700w
Pros: Very nice form factor, Screen is vibrant, Palm’s touch onto the Windows Mobile Software, and EV-DO capability
Cons: Price, speed, I don’t like square screens.
Motorola Q
Pros: Sexy, Ultra Slim, very fast.
Cons: Square screen again, not a touch screen, and Mini-SD only.
A couple of Treo 700w reviews have landed already:
