Nikon to stop producing most film cameras

They are making most their money these days on their digital cameras and have decided to stop production on film cameras and manual lenses.

Sales will continue on these products until current supply is gone which is expected to happen this summer.

Being one of the two main professional film camera companies, they plan to continue to produce and sell a couple high-end professional models and a number of lenses.

There plan is to focus on digital cameras now as Kodak has.

I have a Nikon 8700 digital camera. My dad has one of their high-end pro film models (I forget the model). Both are amazing cameras.

I’m sure Nikon will continue to have success as it focuses on the future of digital cameras.
