Yeah--i too am sick of hearing this kind of crap. With all that's going on on this planet that needs addressing, we have to make stuff up. Pretty soon someone will want to put a chip in my head or fingers to charge me for everytime i play someone elses tune on my guitar in my living room---or hum it. Here's my answer: Drop dead.

I really think this is one step too far. People complain about the RIAA getting upset about music downloads, but I think that it is ok for them to get upset at that as its illegal.

I do not however think it is right to take away lyrics and tabs that are not even the actually songs, they are just for people to have fun with and to look up information about songs with!

This is complete BS! I used to play the saxophone and loved jazz. I would sit around with a keyboard and a CD, transcribing the music that I liked. I never posted a transcription online, but I don't see anything wrong with it. As you mentioned, many of these songs did not have transcriptions available commercially. So what's wrong with figuring it out on my own?

If this practice of posting tabs/scores online is so bad and so illegal, why did it take the MPA 10+ years to raise concerns over it??? I doubt there are THAT many bands out there who have a problem with their fans trying to learn to play their music. That's more of a tribute to the band, than stealing from the band. Completely ridiculous...
