Day Three : Nothing but playing
I feel horrible, my daughter brought something home from school, gave it to my son and they are both well now. My wife and I are starting to show signs of the same flu-like symptoms. I don’t feel like moving, I just want to lay down and sleep. (which is what I am going to do soon after this post)
Today, I used the phone very little and played with applications suggested in Day One’s posting. I did find some interesting quirks that I don’t like today.

Palm doesn’t know what multitasking is, does it? I have to admit that the Pocket PC Platform has a nice little downfall I would like to see fixed, the X button does NOT CLOSE the application without the help of 3rd party apps. One thing is for sure though, Pocket PCs can multitask. I really hate the way you close apps in the Palm OS. Why can’t they add a working X and a _ to minimize apps?

The LOUD light switch. I am not sure if this is normal, but it sounds like someone is slamming the door when the display dims and you have this device up to your head making a call. I makes a metallic click that seems pretty loud. Is this normal?
Applications! Applications! Applications!
Boys and Girls, I found a good home screen and it’s FREE! And top off FREE, it reminds me of home! iSpin launcher lite v1.8
Read on for some images and my software experience!
iSpin launcher lite v1.8 looks like Windows!!!
I also tried out Pocket Tunes. This is a good app. I was able to download the trial, Install it, and have 1 ripped CD on the device playing in 10 minutes! Most of that time was transferring the 14 songs to the Treo 650. Pocket Tunes is compatible with Yahoo Music Engine, which is what I use for my media.
I tried Xiino and Opera, but Opera would not run without some other software, so I said forget it. Xiino looked a little better than Blazer, but the looks of the sites still was less than what I would hope for in a Pocket PC Device. Xiino did resize the images to make Mobilitysite’s front page more readable and it was much faster than Blazer.
Last but not least, I spent TOO MUCH time playing Insaniquarium!!!
