garminforerunner.jpg A few days ago we had posted about a new wrist GPS. But if you still like the looks of the slightly older generation of wrist GPS systems from Garmin, Amazon.com has a great deal on the Forerunner 201 GPS.

I usually see this GPS priced around $180 (Amazon says usually $167.99) and right now through the deal you can get it for $114.99 with free shipping!

Some Features:

  • Integrated GPS receiver displays your progress on favorite routes and saves up to 100 locations
  • Virtual Partner mode sets time, pace, and distance goals and races you against digital competitor
  • History function breaks down workout statistics by day or cumulative weeks; includes serial PC interface
  • Adjustable wristband and AC desktop charger; measures 3.26 x 1.71 x 9.69 inches (W x H x D); 1-year warranty
  • Waterproof, wrist-mounted training device/GPS receiver for tracking lap times, distance, and calories burned

See the deal at Amazon.

  • I have the Forerunner 101, and I love it. I actually chose it over the fancier models because it uses regular AAA batteries. Rechargeables are nice, but I want to use the unit for years to come and a rechargeable battery will die after a few years and is non-replaceable. I have logged almost 400 miles on my Forerunner so far, and got it for an excellent price. It was on sale at Amazon for only just over $80, and I got $30 off for signing up for the Amazon Credit Card, so it was only a little over $50, with free shipping. You can't beat a deal like that.
