A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

The Dell DJ is all but gone now. I remember how excited I was a couple years ago when Dell decided to launch the Dell DJ. It was a chunky, but well built 20g MP3 player. I still use mine this very day. Dell released a second generation of players that were more sleek as well as a mini version. Not sure if this photo to the right is real, but it was supposed to be the third generation Dell DJ.

Dell has discontinued all higher end Dell DJs now. This leaves on the $99 Dell Ditty, which is a flash based player with 512mb. It is a cute little thing, but its won’t hold all my grooves.

According to The Statesman, Dell stopped carrying the Hard Drive based players in late December/ early January. This went by pretty quiet.

"We saw an opportunity to streamline and consolidate our portfolio," Dell spokesman Liem Nguyen said. "We made a decision to transition from the hard-drive products to flash players at the beginning of this year."

This news comes as a shock and leaves us to wonder what else Dell will discontinue.

People still use dell products? Dells are the computer equivalent to American Cars. Cheaply built and no reliability.
