Is faster wireless coming soon?

ibm-logo.gifIBM has created new wireless chips that use a frequency that can be used to transmit data at faster speeds than currently possible.

I love having wireless in my house and it would be great to get speeds closer to wired so I don’t need to plug my laptop in when transferring large files.

The article sounds like they are planning the wireless to be for transmitting high definition television, which makes it seem like this new wireless will be fairly fast.
