RIM, has come up with a workaround. They have a software update ready that will allow them to continue to work if they lose the legal battle with NTP.

The new devices will come with the sofware on the device, but will be left unused until RIM finds out what happens with NTP.

Devices that have already been sold will still work and they will be able to get the update from the BlackBerry site if the workaround is needed.

It is good that this is finally looking to come to an end.
