Back in March of last year, Samsung announced plans to introduce the SGH-i750, a new Pocket PC phone.

Almost a year later, the FCC is just now approving this device for use in the United States.

While still relatively advanced, the long delay means that the i750 will run Windows Mobile 2003 SE, not the latest version.

Still, it will include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well and support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks (900/1800/1900 MHz).

This Pocket PC will sport a 2.0 megapixel camera and a microSD card slot.

Other recent models have used a design that allows the screen to slide up to expose a keypad. The i730 will be somewhat similar, except it will instead have a numberpad concealed beneath its QVGA screen.

It is not known at this point when the SGH-i750 will be released by Samsung, or what it will cost.

The complete Federal Communications Commission filing can be found on this government agency’s web site.
