Subaru to offer XM and Sirius in 2007 models

This past week, Subaru became the latest automobile manufacturer to announce plans of offering satellite radio as a feature in their most popular models of vehicles.  While Subaru doesn’t offer any vehicles that fit my taste, I am a big fan of satellite radio and am always glad to see more and more auto manufacturers offering it out of the factory.

Subaru will be offering XM Satellite Radio in the upcoming 2007 B9 Tribeca SUV, as well as the 2007 Legacy and Outback.  They will be offering Sirius Satellite Radio in the 2007 Forester, Impreza, and Outback Sport Special Edition.  Every Subaru vehicle equipped with either XM or Sirius will include a free 3-month activation.

As more vehicles continue to become equipped with satellite radio, I hope to see the content on each of the providers continue to expand.  Maybe once most vehicles are equipped with this as a standard feature, we’ll see the "family plan" prices drop a little more to help out those of us with multiple radios.
