HP has set the date for iPAQ hx4700 series users — March 1, 2006. That’s when the long awaited upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0 will become available.

According to HP’s site, much of the world will get access all at the same time — English, French, German, Italian & Spanish all available on one day.

Some may qualify for a free upgrade, but most will pay £26.00 (that looks like about $40 US).

Well, I don't know about other 4700 users, but I'm damn excited about this, having had to wait SO long for a confirmed release date... so what do people think the effect this will have on the 4700? more/less useful, more/less efficient... basically is it a good or bad thing all in all?
