A few days ago I commented about the Celio Redfly adding support for BlackBerrys. I came across that bit of information first while researching to purchase a Celio RedFly myself and then while I’ve been …

OK, so both of these guys are in constant competion to get their service on you PC right?

What do I use?
Well, I have been Yahoo as a homepage since… well, I can’t remember really. Its been since I was paying $5/hr for access on my 28.8k modem and Yahoo was an orginized link list only. So I’ve been pretty loyal. When Google hit the scene, they became my search choice, while Yahoo was still my homepage, as I used and still use Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Fantasy Sports, and Yahoo Groups.

Over the past few years, each of them have come out with features that make me like one over the other. Google had my attention with all the functionality of the Google Toolbar, but I saw a post over at Digital Media Thoughts that had me upgrading my Yahoo Music Engine Software. The new engine is nice, and faster, but that’s not what I noticed most. I usually cue up some new music to listen to and go back to work. I returned to my browser and BAD YAHOO, you installed a toolbar on my browser. I was upset, but I started looking, and I like it.

What Toolbar do you use, if any?
I have this huge 23" LCD and I am thinking that its not that bad to have both?

One thing that Yahoo does do that I can’t stand is stealing my searches. When I use the Google Toolbar to perform a search, if I am not aware, sometimes Yahoo.com steals my text into their search form. BAD YAHOO!

Google Toolbar Beta for IE is the shiznit. i'm a big Firefox fan but the only thing good about IE right now is Google's new toolbar. sharing organized bookmarks across all your browsers is schweeeet!

I personally love Google as well for it being simplistic, Yahoo was always to cluttered for my tastes.

I love Google as a homepage as I usually am searching from things right when I open my browser, but I do not use any toolbars. I like my very simple IE window (has almost all icons removed). But, my family members swear by Google Toolbar :)

I use the Google toolbar. I like how you can click on a word that your searching for and then automatically go to that word in the page.
  • I have always used Google since I can remember, I have the Google Toolbar (both IE and Firefox) and I have a Gmail account. Google is a clean homepage unlike Yahoo's, which is just cluttered and adverts everywhere. I like the simpleness of Google, plus, their local search is very useful.
