Your iPod is Easily Scratched but you have to pay for it?

ipod_nano_scratch.jpg We all know about the hype surrouding the easily scratched iPod Nano screens that caused quite a bit of ranting on all major sites around the internet. There also were quite a number of lawsuits that seemed to popup about the problem where the Nano screens would scratch instantly with barely any wear.

Well, Apple deceided to give users a replacement Nano…but at a fee of 25 USD….and as you can imagine this did not go over well in the iPod community.

And now guess what? It has inspired another lawsuit against Apple! It seems in these days of everyone making lawsuits against everyone it was bound to come up sometime again with this subject.

The latest suit, filed by Los Angeles, Calif.-based Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights, seeks class-action status and demands Apple recall and replace all affected iPod nanos.

The 19-page complaint filed late Thursday in San Mateo County Superior Court is the latest in a string of lawsuits to hit Apple following the introduction the iPod nano less than five months ago. It’s also the second suit to allege that the iPod nano is defective due to its scratch-prone display/protective coating.
