Just now that the Video iPod is becoming established in the market place, it looks like Apple may be looking at changing it out.

Like with the 40gb/60gb iPod Photo, the 60gb iPod Video is now on an "at risk" status until April.

From Gizmodo:
Over the next couple months Apple may be phasing out the 60GB iPod video in favor of something else, hopefully the true iPod Video that we have been hearing about non-stop for the past month, according to an Apple analyst. Apple told distributors that the 60GB iPod will be "at risk" until the end of April. At risk basically means that it could be discontinued at any moment.

In my mind this is a prep for another iPod (just as the analyst said) as it happen with the 40gb/60gb Photo as well when it was "at risk". I think that it could be in the next few months when we finally will see a full media iPod to compete with the other Hard Drive Media and UMPC devices that are coming soon!
