Be warned about the Dell M90 and other Dell laptops that only have a PC Express card slot. NOTHING fits into it! Especially IF you are trying to add a Sprint mobile broadband card (pick one, from Sierra Wireless to the Merlin S720). There is one exception. The Verizon PC express card, that you'll need to set up a mobile broadband account with Verizon. This is so limiting that I'm calling the PC express card slot the PROPRIETARY PC express card slot. It's that worthless.

Dell seems to have specialized in Stupid Engineering, and has had even More Stupid Management sign off on this one. There is NO backwards compatability with PC cards. Which means there is no present compatability with PC cards. Just think. No present compatability with MILLIONS and MILLIONS of PC cards. Now, THAT is the kind of marketing strategy that will drive buyers to the HP nw9440 line! HP, having much smarter engineers, understands the importance of staying COMPATIBLE with MILLIONS and MILLIONS of PC cards on a laptop. SO THEY'LL WORK!!!!

The express PC card is 34 mm wide on the connection end, and has an inset that takes up the additional 20 mm that would allow the PC card to fit. But, even IF it fit (and it doesn't!), the connection of the PC express bus would still not allow a PC card to plug into it.

The M90 is a great and powerful notebook workstation that, essentially, becomes a boat anchor, or office anchor, because of the PROPRIETARY WORTHLESS PC express slot.

Way to go, Dell! Turning lemonade into rotten lemons!
