A new radar detector called Illumine has a gentler way of warning drivers.  It glows when it detects police radar, and gets brighter as the driver gets closer to poliice.  It sounds like a nice break from those startling, annoying beeps from a typical radar detector. Those things always scare the hell out of me.

The Illumine has a design that resembles a perfume bottle.  It is unusual looking and probably wouldn’t get you busted in states where "traffic control devices" are illegal because no one would know what it is.  Of course, I don’t need one of these because I always obey posted speed limits. He he.
