It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

HP iPAQ hw6900 going to Cingular?

Judging by this photo I found on Hardware Zone, I would say yes. This photo is clearly the hw6900 with WM5 on it and there is clearly an HP and Cingular logo present. I sent an email to a Rep at HP asking about its authenticity and got no comment. I did get some other info in that email, but no word on the photo.

It will be no real surprise if the hw6900 does make it to Cingular first, but I am sure many would like to know for sure. A while back, Infosync ran a story basicly announcing that Cingular would be the carrier. There was no reference to any document or conversation that led to the "news" though.

The iPAQ hx4700 is still in production?

In the same email exchange with that HP rep mentioned earlier, the only thing I could get on the hx4700 is that it was still in production and the rep was not sure why it was not listed anymore on the site. Not sure what this means, but maybe the hx4700 is not dead.

Speaking of the hx4700, the post by Jack has a link to the page where the upgrade is expected to be offered, but there is no link to puchase the hx4700 uprade yet. I gave my father the Palm Treo 650 I bought and he gave my hx4700 back, so when it hits, I will flash it and report my findings.
