It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.

kjampush.jpgI-Mate has released the long awaited AKU2 ROM today. The release is bittersweet though. Many people are looking forward to Microsoft Push Email, but some of us were REALLY hoping for the Stereo Bluetooth support. It appears that the Bluetooth was cut out of the ROM.

Microsoft™ Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP):
• Addition of the MSFP allowing Direct Push email, remote device wiping, security policy enforcement and Global Address List Lookup for customers using a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.

Communication Manager:
• Communication Manager has been updated to allow current data services to be stopped, Direct Push email to be started/stopped using a single button press, and flight mode to be switched on/off.

On the right, you can see the new communications manager installed in this ROM.

Read the entire article for screenshots of my upgrade process.

Observations after completion:
• Kjam is peppier, but this could be that I haven’t loaded it up yet!
• Does not appear that the Stereo Bluetooth Support is here….
• New Comm manager is nice
WAY BETTER CELLUAR SIGNAL!

After the ROM Upgrade was started, the KJam reset to this….

Stepping through the ROM Updater…

As you progress through the install, the % on the PC and on the Kjam match. One thing to note, I HAD A LONG HANG AT 85%, it finally continued and completed.

Wait time was about 10 minutes as advertised…

All Done!!!
