More proof of the HP iPAQ hx4700 being discontinued

OK, it’s iPAQ overload day here at Mobilitysite.com….

A few days ago, Ed Hardy posted this article on Brighthand. Then I finally got an email yesterday responding to my inquiry on this matter. I turned the answer into a glimmer of hope that it was not discontinued, only removed for some reason or another. With that glimmer, I posted this story. Then a little while later a user tipped me to an order page for the Windows Mobile 5 upgrade for the hx4700. I posted a little write up on it which I should have backdated to make it look older.

Since posting the story with the small glimmer of hope, I have received a couple emails stating that it was definitely discontinued. One reader, Dim, the admin of portuguese site called portalPPC.com, sends a link to HP Portugal which clearly labels the iPAQ hx4700 discontinued. I can only say for sure that it is discontinued in Portugal, but I think the writing is on the wall. Why would they stop selling in one country and not the others?

Thanks dim for the Link.
