nano_1.gifTake everything you love about iPod and shrink it. Now shrink it again. With 1GB (240 songs), 2GB (500 songs) and 4GB (1,000 songs) models starting at $149, the pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of.

Branden Russell tests the New iPod Nano 1gb

"I have just got to start off saying that I am amazed by this thing. iPods have become so popular and I am always getting asked why I don’t have one. I have always said because my Pocket PC works well enough to play all the music I need. Now that I have had the chance to play with one, I don’t know that I can go back to just using my PPC"

A note on this Con "Unlike the touchpad on my laptop, the scroll wheel on the iPod responds to things other than your fingers. You can control the volume through cloth which sometimes got the volume to change, but rarely. This could also be a pro, depending on what you like"

The Scroll wheel is actually very resistant to responding to other things besides touch. If you rub cloth across it it will not respond, it will however respond if you rub cloth across it with your finger behind the cloth if the cloth is thin enough.

    Just a small note :)
