Sprint is planning to launch a local directory for their cell phones. It would provide show times, driving directions, and find places without having to know where you are.

It sounds a lot like the mMode features I had back with AT&T. It would use the phone to figure out my location and tell me where the nearest restaurants and such were. It came in handy at times.

Sprint’s service will cost $2.99 a month.
