For those of you that use TextMaker 2006 for Windows, a new service pack has been released that corrects program errors and features improved filters for Microsoft Word, RTF, OpenDocument, and OpenOffice.org.

Of course, this is a free download and you can get it here from SoftMaker.

The following is the complete list of changes/fixes in this Service Pack:

Improved picture caching for documents with many large pictures

Improved filters for Microsoft Word, RTF, OpenDocument and OpenOffice.org

Background spellchecking speedier now

The LEFT function now returns correct results again

When copying text frames, all character and paragraph formatting is retained

Picture transparency in GIF and PNG files now always retained

You can now prevent automatic hyphenation of a word by inserting a soft hyphen in front of it

Formatting of bullets improved (not all character formatting is copied anymore from the attached paragraphs)

Additional changes and improvements

And as a side note
TextMaker 2006 for Pocket PCs is just days away from the release of the public beta version!
Stay tuned for the announcement!
