Upgrade your HP iPAQ hx2000 and hx4700 series Pocket PC with WM 5

It is here…well almost.  HP has listed on their site that you can get a Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade for your iPAQ for those of you that live in North America.

This upgrade offer provides you the ability to upgrade your HP iPAQ hx2000 and hx4700 series Pocket PC with Microsoft Windows Mobile Version 5.0, without purchasing new hardware.

They indicate that the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade is currently available on CD for the HP iPAQ hx2000 and HP iPAQ hx4700 series Pocket PC. The downloads are currently available just for the HP iPAQ hx2000. The downloads for the HP iPAQ hx4700 will be available soon.

Although they are saying the CD version is being sold for the 4700 series, I was unable to see it on the site but I assume it will be there very soon.  You can find the upgrade information here on the HP site.

Special thanks to Janak Parekh over at Pocket PC Thoughts for finding this one!
