This post was published 3 years 8 months 1 day ago which may make its actuality or expire date not be valid anymore. This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.Ok, are you tired of all the mini-tablet/Origami/UMPC talk? It’s just getting exciting now.
A few weeks ago, I was told in a private conversation not to get too excited about this "Origami thing". How can you not get excited when there is new mobile devices popping up like flowers in the spring?
In this installment of "Another UMPC Photo", we have some good visuals for you.
- Engadget snaps some photos of the Samsung UMPC at Cebit (below)
- swhoutx035 discovers a "Sneak Peak Video Of Umpc" on CNET where Intel demos a couple devices.
- Gizmodo posts "Rumors: Origami Just a Glorified Media Player with Nasty DRM ?"

I have never been a big fan of TabletPC, but the Nokia 770 and the Pepper Pad form factors have me looking at these devices as a replacement of the "Pen Based PDA", as HP put it.
Again, I am going to mention our Ultra Portable Forum. Get in and talk it up even if you think all the hype is unwarranted. If you only want to read about Ultra Mobile PCs, check out Mobilitysite’s UMPC Blog at UMPCsite.com
