ipod_dictionary.jpgNow your iPod can help you through life in yet another way.  With Merriam Webster’s new offering of a pocket dictionary for the iPod, you can check your spelling and look up challenging words discreetly and without lugging around anything extra. The dictionary, which is navigated using hierarchial menus and the scroll wheel, covers 40,000 words; imagine how helpful it might be when you are composing text messages!  Just kidding, but really having a dictionary at your disposal might prove useful at times.  Merriam Webster is planning other offerings such as a pocket thesaurus, rhyming dictionary, pocket atlas, and dictionary of quotations in the near future.  For now, their new Pocket Dictionary is available for download for $9.95.
