Lawman over at Aximsite.com reviews this brand new CF GPS offering from Holux. The Holux GR-271 uses the latest SiRF STAR III architecture.
Another excellent CF GPSr product from Holux. Very light, slim, and very fast to obtain TTFF but not faster than BT GPS units. Easy to insert and remove from PPC and laptop (requires a card adapter). Its very easy to store away when not in use. It does not need any DC power adapters/bricks since power is fed to it from the PPC and laptop; and requires hardly any configuration as its serial-based. I was able to get going right away on COM6 (for my X50v PPC running WM2003SE) and on COM4 (for my Dell PC laptop running Win2K). Does not use much power on my Dell Axim X50v PPC which is great, and is more sensitive than its predecessor due to its SiRF STAR III architecture. It is comparable in sensitivity with the Bluetooth and built-in GPS car mounts.
