8022_tm.jpg I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes, I hate iTunes….. but I have moved to the iPod not too long ago. (although I am hoping to jump ship when the Toshiba Gigabeat S hits)

Navio feels the same way! They plan to let iPod owners use other service to get their music via software. I would love for Yahoo to jump on board with Navio since I am so in love with their all you can eat service!

"The startup company, which is based in Cupertino, California just like Apple, is introducing software that will allow people to buy content for their iPod from someone other than Apple. That has been a crucial missing piece for content providers like movie studios and record companies. iPods dominate the PMP field, so you need to work with Apple to get access to that market. The Navio software solution will let those content providers set up their own retail sites and sell the content themselves. People who buy that content will then be able to play it on their iPod, or anywhere else you want to play it. The Navio software is in use now, and the ability to play content on iPods will be available by the end of June."

  • I hated itunes for a long time, then I had to use it for my iPod and I have using and its not to bad for just simple listening. I HATE that it will not bring in artwork on its own and not sync to other devices though! I like wmp10, and wish I could switch back, but right now I am stuck with itunes. All I can say is at least they updated the look in 6series as the old look really bugged me.
