Matt Miller asks, "Can Sony’s Vaio VGN-UX50 compete with UMPC devices?"

"I am very interested in the device, but the small display concerns me, since Windows isn’t really designed to work in such a small screen area. A sticker on the device says it is Vista compatible too, so it should be upgradeable to the next Microsoft OS. The review states that U.S. versions of the UX series will have a range of processors to choose from and Cingular EDGE integrated when they launch in July at prices starting at US$1,800."

The Sony Ultra Mobile called the Sony Vaio VGN-UX50 looks like a winner in my eyes, the price tag is STEEP, but it sure looks nice. I am very interested in a device smaller than a UMPC with similar functionality, so we’ll soon see!
