Dell and HP Update
This post was published 3 years 6 months 13 days ago.It\'s is possible that the information within this article is now out of date or updated.
As many of you may already know, I run Aximsite.com which is a super sized community that has grown way past my expectations. Anyhow, a couple of weeks ago I posted and "Open Letter to Michael Dell" that asked Dell to fix some issues, etc…
After posting this, I receive a ton of comments, emails, and other correspondence. On a phone call with Dell, I was informed that "DELL" was aware of the letter and that there were talks of what they were going to say in response. It’s been 3 weeks now, so I guess the answer is, nothing. I don’t expect Dell to jump up and cater their operation to the demands of the Aximsite Users, but I did expect a response of some sort. I guess the comment of the day on 4/24/06 was accurate, "….At this point, it would be cheaper to "make the problem go away" than to incur the cost of fixing it. It’s all about $$$ and greed with guys like Mr. Dell. Just my humble opinion after many unsuccessful attempt to get help and/or service from Dell Computers. Thanks for "pissing into the wind" on our behalf; we appreciate your efforts"

In a similar spin, Mobilitysite.com used to be iPaqHQ.com. The site was made in the likeness of Aximsite to do for iPaq Owners what Aximsite does for Axim Owners. Back in 2004, we had a little spat with HP that turned into us being somewhat blacklisted by HP. ( Drama Link )
About a year later, we had another similar spat and moved on. After the second spat, I quit visiting this site. After a few months, I decided to merge iPaqHQ with my Tech blog Mobilitysite to create what we have at Mobilitysite.com now.
Fast forward to the good news. I want to first state that I do not plan on signing any agreements with HP that would put us back in the situation that I felt was censorship, so don’t worry. The good news is that HP may be changing a little. In the past month, I have had some positive communication with HP reps. I am still skeptical, but I am going to give this another chance.
