Tiny easy to use camcorder, another re-invention?

This site is not responsible for any misunderstanding.According to USA Today’s report, "New breed of tiny camcorder simple to use, easy on wallet" is the simplest way to get your "pointed and shot" videos on the web. San Francisco based Pure Digital Technologies, a
company who made one time use digital cameras, is now marketing their new camcorder under the name "The Everyday Video Camcorder" at various retailers accross North America. With price tag of $129 company is planning to get attention of youngsters who love to share their videos on the web, or those who do not want the bells and whistles of professional video cameras.
Quoting USA Today, The new camcorder comes with a USB connector, which pops out of the side to plug directly into PCs. Built-in software is transferred to the PC, without doing an install. Video quality is on par with the video setting on a digital still camera a little grainy. Sound quality is inferior to traditional camcorders, which tend to have better microphones. The camera has no viewfinder; in strong sunlight, the LCD preview window is hard to see.

With only 30 minutes of shooting capabilities, unpublished resolution and no expansion options, the unit may not get the attention company desires. Especially when there are other varieties of recorders with more functionalities including mp3 playback, or ability to stream video to your computer. Pure Digital camcorder, with lack of these features, may not stand a chance among them. As for the camcorder itself, I think there are enough cellphones, or regular cameras in the market that do the same thing, this thing could only be used if it was priced much lower, or included a cable extension that allowed people to use it as a webcam Again, I was unable to locate any product spects of this camcorder, if you do find anything on it, please let us know.
