Following on from the last post here is another great resource for ebooks with a summer offer of over 300,000 free ebooks.

free ebooks

Project Gutenberg and The World eBook Library and are joining forces to offer over 300,000 free ebooks from July 4th through August 4th this summer. The World eBook Library normally charges $8.95 per year for access to their massive ebook library that consists of ebooks, documents and articles but for this one month they are opening their "doors" to allow free downloads. Most of the works are those no longer protected by copyrights and thus in the public domain and most of the classics in American literature can be obtained through these two ebook providers and thus free through this project.".

If you are in the habit of reading before bed or do a lot of traveling ebooks are are great way to pass the time. I currently use ubook on my Axim x51V to read ebooks The sharp screen of the Axim with the functionality of ubook makes reading on the smaller screen comfortable and with the backlight allow me to read on the plane at night without eye strain. The joy of being able to carry literally hundreds of books allows me to pick a book to read without weighing my bag down, I may never read a paper based book again

Not is this a great link for eBooks, but other media as well. There are MP3 audio books, as well as movies. The World eBook site is one of the best I have seen.
