Intel To Sell Off It’s Xscale Division

xscale.jpg In a move that it is certainly common among big business companies, Intel has decided to put it’s mobile chip division on the auction block to focus on it’s "Core" business. While enthusiasts like myself mourn the loss of our Pocket PC and Smartphone’s  heart and soul, Intel has stock investors (a lot of them) to make happy. So any divisions that can be liquidated to add cash to their balance sheet will help boost their approval ratings it would seem. It is said that the Xscale Group generates about 250 million dollars of revenue and supplies various platforms other than Pocket PC and Smartphones. With mobility holding a lot of limelight these days, finding a buyer should not be difficult.
