New Accessory for iGo Power Adapters Allows Users to Power Up Two Mobile Gadgets Simultaneously

Mobility Electronics Inc. announced that the company is now shipping iGo power splitter accessory. This new power accessory is designed to work with select iGo adapters to simultaneously charge two mobile electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones, Bluetooth(R) headsets, smartphones/PDAs, MP3 players, portable gaming devices, digital cameras and more, from a single adapter.

"The new iGo power splitter is the perfect addition to our existing line of solutions for mobile device users," said Charles Mollo, chief executive officer of Mobility Electronics. "Studies show that each mobile device user today owns an average of 5.5 mobile devices — this can make charging a difficult task, especially if power outlets are scarce." Mobility Electronics recognized the need for a device that could charge multiple devices using one adapter and one power source.

The iGo power splitter is small, lightweight and easy to carry, which makes it the perfect companion to the iGo auto, wall or everywhere adapters. It also allows users to charge devices faster without having to wait for an available outlet, especially in the car.

As with all iGo adapters, the iGo power splitter leverages the company’s patented tip technology. This technology allows one adapter to charge multiple devices through the use of interchangeable power tips. Users are able to charge hundreds of brands and thousands of models of mobile electronic devices with the switch of a tip. The iGo power splitter is available online at http://www.iGo.com and at select retail locations nationwide. This adapter retails for $14.99.

The iGo power splitter offers the following key features and benefits:

– Allows select iGo adapters to simultaneously charge two low-power mobile devices.

– Works with many combinations of gadgets, including mobile phones, Bluetooth headsets, MP3 players, portable gaming devices and more.

– Interchangeable power tips with iGo tip technology allow users to safely charge multiple gadgets from a single iGo adapter.

– Frees up valuable power outlets and removes clutter of multiple model-specific adapters.
