Avvenu, Inc. announced My Media Play, a new feature that gives users access to the entire music collection stored on their computer anytime, anywhere. Whether at work or on the go, My Media Play lets users play any of the MP3 and WMA music files stored on their home computer from any computer or Windows Mobile 5-equipped phone. The Avvenu service with My Media Play is free and available now at http://www.avvenu.com.

With My Media Play, there is no advance preparation required. Users are liberated from the time-consuming task of syncing their music collection to a portable player or specifying a set playlist. So wherever they are, whenever they want to listen to their music, Avvenu users have the convenience of selecting any music file they want to play from the complete collection stored on their computer.

Using My Media Play is simple. After using the browser to log into the Avvenu service and accessing their home or work computer, users simply navigate to the song or playlist of their choice and click the Play button. The user’s media player software automatically launches and plays the selected music.

"The My Media Play music capability is another example of how we’re giving users access to their entire digital life," said Richard French, CEO of Avvenu. "Every document, every photo, and now every song, is immediately available. Now that’s true mobility."
