I just love coming across great applications for my pocketpc and when they turn out to be FREE  its makes the journey twice as sweet….

The Sompy Media Player can play AVI, DivX, MPEG4 files (MP4, M4A), MPEG movie and audio files (MPEG, MPG, MPV, DAT, MP1, MP2, MP3, MPA), Matroska files (MKV, MKA), Ogg Vorbis files (OGG, OGM) and AAC files (AAC).

I have been using it as a replacement for my last media player and I have found it to be a reliable alternative that does just what it says on the tin…

check it out for yourself sompy.com

They also provide a free movie encoder to help you shrink your media files down to PDA  sizes
