Samsung has become the first to demonstrate actual VGA resolution on a 1.98" cellphone display. They say this display shows 10 times more detail than your HD LCD TV!

This phone is currently on display in San Francisco at the Information Display International Conference and Exhibition (SID 2006) tradeshow and is created quite a buzz, and hope that soon we will high quality displays on our cell phones.

Besides higher resolution, the screen will show up to 16 million colors and can handle "extremely fast data transmission rates required today," Samsung said.

Many people are holding onto their vga pdas until their cell phones become more capable. Nobody wants to give up the ability to view movies, internet, photos and documents on rich, vibrant screens. Perhaps the cell phone makers are finally listening to their customers.
