Mobile Web Users Can Now Search…Unplugged — Without Any Connection Whatsoever

Webaroo today announced its unique ‘web search offline’ service is now compatible with the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0(TM) platform, providing thousands of owners of the latest mobile smart phones with the ability to search the web anywhere, anytime, without having to rely on a mobile Internet connection. Webaroo also announced BenQ Mobile, which it will bundle with its BenQ-Siemens P51 smart phone, when it launches in Q3 2006.

The Webaroo software and service provide a fast and ubiquitous web search experience on mobile devices with no connection at all. Webaroo features ‘web packs’ on a variety of subjects, such as world news, soccer/football, major cities, the Wikipedia and more — each of which contains thousands of relevant web pages identified by Webaroo’s innovative algorithms. In one simple step, users can also select and download their favorite web sites to save and search at their leisure by syncing their smart phones with their laptops.

Perfect for the business traveler who demands information on the move, Webaroo supports the BenQ-Siemens P51 smart phone and includes web packs covering Frankfurt, London, Paris, Milan, Taipei and Amsterdam, with the ability to get more for free at the Webaroo web site.

"Smart phone owners are typically advanced users who actively seek out innovative software for all their mobile devices," says Brad Husick, co-founder and President of Webaroo. "Our mission is to provide the best mobile search experience possible anywhere in the world and we are happy to now support Windows Mobile 5.0 users and BenQ-Siemens P51 phone customers."

How Webaroo Software Works:

– Webaroo servers crawl the Internet and analyze web pages, selecting pages with high quality, broad coverage, and small size.

– Consumers either download Webaroo and selected content onto their laptop and mobile devices (PDA/smart phone) for free, or purchase a device with Webaroo bundled on it.

– Consumers can search the pages completely disconnected from the Internet.

– Content is updated every time consumers are connected.

Search…unplugged begins at http://www.webaroo.com. It is compatible with computers running Windows XP and Windows 2000 as well as handhelds with Windows Pocket PC 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0.
