Apple launches tail-less mouse

Apple Computer has released a Bluetooth-powered wireless version of Mighty Mouse, the company’s only multibutton mouse.

The new wireless Bluetooth 2.0 Mighty Mouse promises a new laser tracking engine that is 20 times more sensitive than standard optical mice for better tracking on even more surfaces.

As before, Apple’s wireless Mighty Mouse includes up to four independently programmable buttons and a Scroll Ball that lets users scroll in any direction.

The wireless version of Mighty Mouse is compatible with any Mac running version 10.4.6 of the OS X Tiger operating system that has Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connectivity

A wireless Mighty Mouse costs $69, a full $20 more than its tailed brother. No discounts are available for individuals through the Apple
