EU Playing Hardball With Microsoft

Microsoft may be the big kid on the block. But the European Union is proving that they can be just as big and just as bad. ZDNet is reporting that the EU is considering raising the cap on the fines that they can assess the Redmond Washington-based software giant if they "continue to defy an antitrust decision". The current level is $2.55 million per day, and they want to raise it to $3.82 million. That is a pretty hefty fine. Read the article here. I wonder when Bill Gates will just give up, throw in the towel and buy Europe.
