Many websites are reporting about the new iPod-killer from Microsoft, among them PDALive. There are reports (i.e., rumors) that Microsoft is designing a whole group of products under the code name "Project Argo".

The MP3 player rumors have that device, code named "Zune", supporting WiFi networking for downloading new music and streaming audio and video content. One of my local television news broadcasts reported that Microsoft was even planning on reimbursing iTunes down loaders for the cost of having to redownload any tunes that won’t play on the Zune. Talk about buying the market. Whatever happens, it promises to be an interesting holiday shopping season, as current plans are to have these on the shelf in time for Christmas shopping. Let the games begin.

  • The zune wifi capabilities are crucial because the set the zune apart. MS cannot compete with apple directly so they need to differentiate.
