With the success of this range in the Far East LG have now released the K800 in Europe. The phones minimalist front, hidden touch pad and smooth slide action is going to make this phone a must have for those fashion conscious executives.

When shut, the invisible touch pad and blended screen mean it looks dead. Slide it open, however, and the touch pad and screen spring into life. The pad glows cherry red, and responds to the lightest touch. The screen isn’t amazingly hi-res, but it’s pretty bright.

The specs for the device are not great in fact compared to most they are pretty basic. You only get 128MB of memory and there is  no card slots for expansion. The one-megapixel camera isn’t going to give Nikon any sleepless nights, either.  Some of the reviews I have read mentioned the charger as a down side, that it has a habit of falling out is not so good…

But before you write this off as just another phone for the style conscious consider this: the battery lasted through a whopping four days of constant use. It’s an absolute pleasure to use.It looks great . Put simply, if you can live without extras, then this is a winner.
