If you are a Skype user then make sure you check out the Skype website on Thursday. There will be additional toolbars for you to add to make calling easier. These new toolbars will allow the Skype user to easily start a voice call in three areas: e-mail, MS Office, and the Web using IE or FireFox.

This is a huge announcement and will set a new standard that the other players will have to follow. So what will this do? It will take a huge segment of the VoIP community and enable them to integrate their everyday applications with Skype….this is HUGE!

Check out the Skype website on Thursday and download your NEW toolbars.

Er, ,why is this HUGE? It isn't, it's just hyped nonsense. Just what I need for my crowded screen - yet another toolbar, even better, another toolbar for an app that's studded with buttons and tabs already.Remember when it was HUGE that you could add Skype buttons to your eBay auctions? And I quickly uninstalled that annoying Firefox plug-in. Just what people have been crying out for - the ability to Skype from within MS Office. Wow.

Wake me up if Skype ever fix that thing where it keeps re-ticking the box to run Skype on system boot, even though you keep unticking it. What's the use of having a box to tick, if it's not going to work?
