Another battery monitor app for your pc was launched a few days ago from exs-studios. Its a simple app that sits on the today screen and does what it says in the product title

Here is what they say: PocketPC Battery Monitor conveniently displays this information on your Today screen. Even better, it will also show you an estimate in days, hours, minutes and seconds until your battery needs to be recharged.
An intelligent algorithm accurately calculates the remaining battery time, based on your usage and displays this information for you.
Also, you can easily customize the display of battery power information.

sounds like many others, still it has a small footprint and if all you are looking for is a simple battery monitor then you could do a lot worse..

Features :
- Display remaining battery percentage
- Choose between 3 display modes : (graphic only, text only, graphic + text)
- Displays estimated remaining time in days, hours, minutes and seconds.
- Display charging status and percentage.
- Lightweight software. Uses very little memory, storage space and Today screen area.

- Updates are completely free, for lifetime, for this software.
- You can redownload your software anytime you wish, completely free, for lifetime
